Hi

So, how have you all been? I know that in the 2020's I am grateful for a lot of the beautiful art and literature here and elsewhere. I am grateful for any beauty I can find in this climate. A while back I got pretty self conscious and doubting about my poetry. I was just scared and I am still, maybe we ALL are at the end of the day, but a famous quote goes "bravery isn't the absence of fear, but the triumph over it." I am not quite as naive as I once was, of course who is, but....I think we should really, as much as we can, not forget to love and be loved. I think we can all stand to be a little nicer, a little kinder than we have to be, and any kindness goes a long way, a smile, a kind word, a helping hand, and I know that may not be the easiest thing to do for some of you, but it is possible and it will really matter, kindness always does. So, props to all you guys out there for remaining strong in these times. I hope you stay strong and keep going!!

So...Last night, I remembered this quote, I do not who said it, but went like something like, to paraphrase, "Those who are blessed, might be a blessing" and that with a beautiful quote I found on Pinterest a while back that goes "Walk outside on a clear night and just look up at the sky. take a moment to realize that you are spinning around in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Sometimes it takes a bit of perspective to remember what is really important. You are alive and you are here. you have the potential to be anything." So, I thought that from those quotes that everyone is blessed whether you believe it or not, just think of what it means to be human, and on this planet in the middle of space, all the atoms that make up our bodies, the quarks that make up those atoms. I like to think of life as this one big science experiment, like a scientist blissfully experimenting with a whole bunch of materials and just seeing what happens. There are literally things about yourself that you should be grateful for that you do not even realize, so many things phenomenal about you, about life and existence, so many possibilities and nothing ever as it seems, but a lot of people believe all the things about life, about reality, that our society we have created just wants us to believe is true, but a lot of those things are really just social constructs, things that are just in our heads. I think most of the times society wants to tell us that if we are not rich, if we do not look a certain way, and if our lives are not like a sitcom family...then maybe we are doing something wrong, and I have had believed things like those, and still do now, and probably a lot of others do too. But I do think that even if you do not have all the things society says you need, you still do have so much just being part of this life, just to live and breathe. So, even if you do not think so you are blessed, you are, and so you should want to be a blessing in whatever way you can think of no act of love is ever wasted, just the thought of believing you are blessed just for the fact that you are alive right now, then from that wanting to be a blessing, a light on others, that is something we should encourage. There is this quote I heard from the famous YouTuber Lilly Singh's video where she says "if you have blessings you don't build a higher fence, you build a longer table," that is actually a very inspiring video; here is a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4kZdKZIIls And then there is a quote that goes "those who have, give. Those who don't, give" and even if all you have to offer someone is a smile, give it! Think of anything you can give, anything you can do; for me I would like to share this link to a charity I first saw in a magazine article, a charity on facebook dedicated to helping out amid all this COVID 19 Pandemic

--->https://www.facebook.com/groups/TO.Community.Response.COVID19/about I hope you will join and give whatever you possibly can, and just in general, people please be smart about this, wear the masks, social distance, stand about 6 feet away from others, take all of the necessary measures; please do not make a big deal out of this, not just for you, but for your family, friends, loved ones, and other peoples', please lets make it through this. A While back one of my brothers tested positive for COVID 19, but he is better now, it is gone from him, but the idea that I could have lost him, he would have been gone forever, scares me, what also scares me is the fact that I heard that those dying from COVID 19 in their final hours cannot even have their loved one by their side at the hospital, in their final hours they cannot even hold the hand or see the face one last time from their loved ones, that is just too sad for words; I am truly sorry for anyone reading this who has already experienced that with a family member. And I almost do not even want to mention this because I do not want to give this more attention, but a few days ago I heard on the news about someone with the virus coming up and hugging someone and saying to him "now you have Coronavirus."

....That is just the saddest thing I have ever heard. Please people, lets get through this together. Make good decisions. Choose love instead.

Well, that is all. I wish you all well, stay safe in these times, and I know that may not be easy for a lot of you, please try to hold on to hope no matter what, you are blessed.
